my interest in understanding the race issues and weight in high fashion has been rehashed.
why is this ideal of creamy white skin and inhuman slenderness perpetuated. have we not progressed enough to include skin color of all kinds on a regular basis? who are we to set unrealistic standards of beauty?
the industry of high fashion is harsh.
i count my blessings that i am part of so many projects, but there are some experiences that make me reconsider my work at times and second guess my beauty. the bottom line, however, is that inner beauty creates outer beauty. it's nice to be recognized but better yet to personally recognize my worth.
